Joan Lewis - Employment Law Specialist:

“We moved to the area last summer and I shopped around as I’m wary of dentists - it’s always been a case of ‘managing fear’ for me. I chose Paul as I was impressed by his team and how much they’d invested in their equipment. His caring enthusiasm combined with a discreet, stylish and friendly practise with no woodchip paper, meant I didn’t have the usual bad reaction that I get to dentists.

“I’d researched veneers and realised the quality of the person doing it was important. Also, high quality veneers meant minimal invasion - I’d never have contemplated caps and crowns that I thought were invasive as the tooth is filed to a stump.

“I didn’t think my teeth were too bad - a couple were crooked with chipped edges and I had natural discolouration but the difference Paul’s work has made has been incredible– it’s the best Christmas present my husband ever bought me!

“Paul is exceptionally good at what he does- he just seems to buff up your teeth so the veneer has something to adhere too. The important thing is the tooth remains your own.

“I couldn’t believe the transformation to my teeth as well as my lips and mouth. I’ve now amazing definition of the lip and that’s where the artistry lies - building out the teeth supports the top lip better.

“When I see pictures of me on holiday before I had the work done, they look awful because of my teeth. Now I smile with white teeth that set off my eyes. My friends ask me where I had my face lift done!”

Bruce Welch - Rhythmn Guitarist with The Shadows:

“It’s an excellent place. I’ve been going to dentists for over 40 years and I’ve always been scared stiff but not any longer. I told Paul how I was and he was fantastic. He put me at my ease.

“ The surgery’s filled with the latest technology, and with everything I had done I didn’t feel a thing – it was great not to have an injection as I remembered it. What you don’t get is a three hour wearing off period when you daren’t have a cup of tea for fear of scalding yourself. He’s now my star dentist and I’m very confident in what he does. You go in there, put your sunglasses on, and relax.”

Note – Bruce is referring to our microprocessor controlled anaesthetic delivery system which is called “The Wand”.

Hugh Marshall - Semi-Retired Director:

“I was Paul’s patient in his Baker Street surgery and stayed with him as I like the continuity,” he recalled. “The location – right next to Strawberry Hill train station - means he’s not difficult to reach from the city as the line is direct from Waterloo.

“My previous dentist had been a bit long in the tooth and I found Paul refreshing and very up to date with the latest techniques. He also clearly enjoyed what he was doing which impressed me and was very diplomatic about pointing out how my teeth could be improved cosmetically.

“They were quite shocking originally, but Paul saved them from almost falling out. He cured pretty bad gum disease and rounded off my teeth so I can smile more - he bonds porcelain onto them in such a way that they feel quite natural.

“I wish I’d had the work done earlier. Now if I bite on a steak, the impact of the porcelain means I bite much better while my ‘smile lift’ means my lip feels more natural against my teeth. My wife says I shouldn’t smile with such a toothy grin as she’s not used to it!”
